Grace Uncensored Statement of Faith
Jesus Christ and salvation
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for our sins and rose again. Salvation is God’s free gift, received through faith in Jesus Christ, not earned by good works, religious performance, or keeping the Law.
Our new life in Christ
We believe that everyone who trusts in Christ is born again, completely forgiven through Jesus’ once-for-all sacrifice, made righteous, and permanently united with Him. Our identity, acceptance, and security rest on His finished work.
The Holy Spirit and Christian living
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer, assures us that we belong to God, and leads us in the new life of Christ. We live under the New Covenant of grace, not under the Law of Moses. God’s grace teaches and empowers us to reject ungodliness and express Christ’s love.
Good works
We believe good works are the fruit of new life in Christ, not the price of salvation. God works in us, and our lives can reflect His love and goodness.
The Bible
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We read Scripture in context and understand God’s story in light of its fulfillment in Jesus Christ. The Old Testament remains valuable for teaching and understanding God’s purposes, but its covenant laws, including the Ten Commandments as a covenant code, are not the rule of life for believers. We are led by the Spirit under the New Covenant.
Our hope
We believe Jesus Christ will return, and that those who belong to Him have everlasting life. Our hope rests in His finished work and His faithful promise.
